1. Explain what steps The Carlson Company took to become known as a socially responsible corporate global citizen?
                  The Carlson Company took a few different steps to become known as a socially responsible corporate global citizen.  The first step the company took was establishing themselves as a multifaceted company.  They did this by extending their brand to serve a variety of needs.  The next step to making them socially responsible was that the company set itself on being a company with a certain standard of social integrity.  The final step they took to becoming socially responsible was being the first company to sign the code and not only hope to help but set specific rules to make sure that some sort of change would happen.  Doing this they established themselves as a company with high social responsibility because they are willing to make a difference even if it is hard.

2. Describe why the CEO of the Carlson Company decided to sign the code of conduct agreement? How did the decision to adopt the code of conduct agreement affect the organizational culture of the Carlson Company?
            The CEO of the Carlson Company decided to sign the code of conduct agreement because she felt it was the right thing to do morally. Even though others in the company had their doubts the CEO felt it was the right thing for the company. The decision to adopt the code of conduct agreement effect the organizational culture of the Carlson Company by making the employees feel responsible for the children. This code put strict rules on the guests’ actions which the employees of the different locations had to make part of their jobs to make sure that the code was followed.

3.  Describe the management style of Carlson Nelson, the CEO of the Carlson Company. Based on your findings, explain how Carlson Nelson's management style affected stakeholder relationships with the Carlson Company.
            I would describe the management style of Carlson Nelson as very admirable and persuasive. She went above and beyond the needs of her company.  She wanted to help not only her company but inspire others to help with her mission to stop sex trafficking and child sexual exploitation. I would say that Carlson Nelson’s management style affected stakeholders relationships with the Carson Company were both good and bad. Not everyone was in agreement with her ideas so to those stakeholders’ relationships I would say they had a negative impact. However, to the stakeholders that wanted to see this change their relationships would grow stronger due to this agreement.


4. Identify and explain 3 lessons you learned from this case study that will be helpful in developing desirable management based knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) that will differentiate you as a candidate in the career marketplace of the Hospitality industry.
                  The three lessons I learned from this case study for developing my management skills are, to take initiative, stay true to who I am, and to not be afraid. I need to take initiative for tasks and be willing to try something new even if the idea isn’t perfect. Just because something isn’t liked by all doesn’t mean that it isn’t a good idea. Also to stay true to myself and know that I have the power to make the right decisions and never do something that is morally not sound just because it could possibly bring in more revenue.  Finally, not to be afraid, whether it is doing something new that no one has tried yet or just doubting myself in general. I have to be confident in my choices and my decision to be a good manager and differentiate myself as a candidate in the Hospitality Industry.
