Consulting Research Questions
Introductory
Paragraph:
The purpose of this paper is to
develop research questions that respond to the requirements of this assignment. There have been issues in the Advertising
Department. One approach to solving these issues is to get to the root of the
problem, by developing research questions to address these issues by examining why
the problems are occurring in the first place.
An additional area of interest is what can be done to prevent them in
the future.
Using research questions is a best
management practice and can be very helpful to improve the performance within the
organization. Performance management is known to be personal and can also be a
“threatening process for Both Managers and Employees” (Pulakos, PG 13) according
to the reading Effective Practice guidelines. The primary research question areas
for this study will address issues with Leadership and the improvements that are needed.
Why management do not have an understanding of the IT systems
and PowerPoint application?
What training can be provided to management in order to be
more effective communicators and for them to make better use of the information
management system?
What is Management doing in order to be effective with
communication?
Organizational
Processes & Procedures
What steps is being taken in order to improve communication
with the social media team?
How is management going
to monitor the organizational process and procedures within the department?
What strategy is the
Department planning on implementing in order to be effective?
Principles
and Frameworks for Making Ethical Decisions
How does the department
plan on addressing the issues and concerns?
What is management going to do in regards to sharing too
much information with the interns?
What steps is
Management taking in order to improve on making ethical decisions?
Organizational
Structure, Management, and Leadership
What different techniques can the department use to get more
clients each week?
Has the Advertising Department come up with any other
options they can use in order to give more work to the interns?
Is there any additional resources or training that can be
made available to the interns?
Impact
of Economics, Law, and Government on Value Creation
Has University Consulting Services started research in
regards to the different laws?
What steps is University Consulting Services going to take
in regards to going global?
Is there any basic training that can be provided to the new Director and Manager?
Is there any basic training that can be provided to the new Director and Manager?

Is there any additional training for the interns on how to
create power points?
What resources is the department using when working for
clients?
Has the department implemented a strategic plan for
achieving their long-term goals?
Conclusion:
The questions selected are to help
management in their fact finding investigation and make it easier for them to
have the open dialog with the interns.
It is clear to see that when the
department starts addressing these Research Questions it would help them
identify the main causes of the issues that are affecting the interns and allow
them to develop different techniques to prevent them from re-occurring. This
should improve the advertising department’s performance, therefore making the
organization more successful.
