Information Planning Professional Competencies
knowledge(theories)-
Identify information planning theories that are
critical for entrepreneurs to know.
The proliferation of
knowledge arises from epistemological interpretation of information. Genetic
development is one theory which describes the progression of intellectual
evolution. Reflection and judgement are divided into three stages,
pre-reflective, quasi-reflective, and finally reflective, the most considerably
quantifiable stage of analytical planning. The personification of the profusion
of educational experiences in student interns is analogous to decision making
and information planning required for entrepreneurial success in the 21st
century (Hofer Pintrich, 1997)
skills-
Identify information planning skills that are
critical for entrepreneurs to develop.
Information planning skills are a necessary facet to
achieving business and entrepreneurial goals. Recognizing and attracting
opportunities and resources, understanding and implementing a business systems
plan process, while defining and justifying the methodology, applying it, and
auditing the output of deliberated actions equates to successful information
planning for entrepreneurial success in the 21st century (Lederer &
Sethi,1988).
abilities-
Identify information planning abilities that are
critical for entrepreneurs to develop.
Successful
information planning without the ability to properly judge methodologies is
akin to professional prestidigitation. With so many resources required for
planning, Lederer & Sethi suggest that the ability to auspiciously
implement information planning strategies hinges upon the capacity to identify,
adopt, and audit the components of the IP goal and ultimately the
organizational mission (ibid)
behaviors-
Identify information planning behaviors that are
critical for entrepreneurs to develop.
The enhanced performance phenomenon is, in all reality,
the pleural effect of critical information planning behaviors personified by
successful strategic execution. The incitement of communally shared domains,
encouragement of interorganizational communication, exemplification of the
“relationship enabler” role, and acting as the agent for information
assimilation constitutes the successful behaviors which should be developed by
entrepreneurs in the 21st century (Kearns & Sabherwal, 2006).
