SDLC models development

SDLC models development have some specific applications in the software industry. Yesser is a huge step in achieving the Saudi 2030 Vision. Identifying the most effective system development approach requires an in-depth understanding of the nature of the project being undertaken. The spiral methodology is an alternative to the agile, waterfall, and DevOps models and is mainly used for projects that are complicated, large, and capital intensive (Boehm, Lane, Koolmanojwong, & Turner, 2014). Ideally, it is used in military and government systems. One of the few companies that have utilized the approach to develop its systems is the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). In the development of George Marshall Space Flight Center, spiral approach helped NASA to save on cost and complete the task within a reasonable time.

Saudi Electricity Company selected an iterative model that make developments occurs during each of the phases of the SDLC instead of waiting for a phase to complete. SEC use this approach to develop its systems that relate to customer services or to develop internal digitalization systems. Finally, the approaches are not proper for all organizations at the same time. The business manager should determine the best approach that is best proper for developing its system. No certain approach is best for all situations, the situation itself will determine which approach is best for the organization.

When the program is finalized and has no critical issues – it is time to launch it for the end users. After the new program version release, the tech support team joins. This department provides user feedback; consult and support users during the time of exploitation. Moreover, the update of selected components is included in this phase, to make sure, that the software is up-to-date and is invulnerable to a security breach.
I would like to mention that programmers start here with the source code writing while keeping in mind previously defined requirements. The system administrators adjust the software environment, front-end programmers develop the user interface of the program and the logics for its interaction with the server.
